Inspiring Women Today's Menstrual Hygiene Drives and Packing Events bring communities together to make a meaningful impact. In partnership with local businesses that serve as hygiene drop off location, we collect donated menstrual hygiene products and host vibrant packing events where volunteers assemble kits for those in need. These events are more than just service - they're opportunities to connect, give back, and empower. Once packed, we distribute the kits to individuals and organizations serving under-resourced populations who lack access to essential menstrual care items.
Why Period Poverty?
We believe that no one should face the impossible choice between buying food or period products, yet in the U.S., 16.9 million people who menstruate live in poverty, and two-thirds of them struggle to afford menstrual products. Nearly 1 in 4 U.S. teens report difficulty accessing period supplies, leading 1 in 4 to miss school, and 44% feeling stressed or embarrassed due to lack of access. In Texas, the challenge is equally urgent, low-income and unhoused menstruators regularly go without proper menstrual care. By delivering hygiene kits directly to underserved individuals and groups, Inspiring Women Today is helping break the cycle of period poverty - ensuring dignity, health, and uninterrupted education and work for all menstruators.
